Professional Appraisers are always learning and passing on knowledge.  We hope to share that knowledge with our associates and clients.

We are available to address your associates and groups about valuation problems.

The importance of educating ourselves and our associates to who appraisers are and what they represent is sometimes lost on the public.

The public wants reassurances that they have something of value before they spend the time and money to have their businesses valued.  What happens when the value is not understood in the context to which the appraisal was contracted for?

This may be a burden on the appraiser if they did not have the assignment clear.  If this was not made clear in the engagement letter, It may be our failure to educate the client about the differences in concepts and the effort that goes into estimating reasonable values.

Reasonableness is what appraisers aim towards.  Because appraisal education is constant and expensive, professional appraisers strive for the knowledge to do the assignment correctly and fairly.

Fairness and reasonableness is not something professional appraisers compromise.  We are not advocates for anything but our appraisal.  Professional appraisers practice observation and diligence.  We try to find all of the facts as time allows.

Time is often not always available because personal property appraisers, often the last latch on the door, are pressured to finish an assignment just before the deal closes.  We hope to make valuation assignment easier for all involved in the closing process or other valuation needs by keeping you current about our profession.

Professional appraisers are available to discuss methods, changes in the Uniform Standards of Professional Practice and any valuation questions you have.

If you have questions or you need help in understanding a valuation problem please call ACI Associates, Inc.
